Capture the Moment
Hello, my name is Tammy Luker. I’ve loved taking photographs even when I was a little girl, but never thought about becoming a professional photographer until after the birth of my fourth child. I had been a commodity broker when my first two children were born and decided to be a stay-at-home mom after the third, which really stretched our finances. After the fourth, I was in the process of returning to commodities, when my father suggested I look at photography as a business.
All I had was an old camera that I didn’t really know how to use. But that first camera was all I needed to practice until I tapped into the “perfect photo” and knew exactly how I did it! It was the look I always wanted and to this day that picture of my daughter in her ballet outfit is still one of my favorites. After taking photos of my friends, their babies and special events, I developed my own creative style. The word got around and suddenly I was in business – a business I love almost as much as I love people.
My approach to photography is a more unposed, unrehearsed style - photos which capture the emotions of a bride’s big day – special moments between bride and groom or other family members which show a look in the eye or special smile that says it all – the happiness, joy and love happening right then.
I am always honored when asked to photograph the important events in people’s lives – new babies, graduations, weddings etc. I offer a variety of packages that fit nearly every budget, so every bride can have that Hollywood, fantasy look she’s dreamed of since she was a little girl.
